本書前身是《認識舊約倫理學》（Living as the People of God, 台北：校園），該書自一九八三年問世以來，廣受好評。如今經過大幅修改，重新編排，納入作者另一本書Walking in the Ways of the Lord的素材，再加上學術界舊約倫理研究的最新綜覽，最後集結而成。全書清新易懂，適合一般基督徒閱讀，而且參考書目詳盡，學生也能從中獲益。
作者簡介
萊特 Christopher J. H. Wright
是「國際靈風合作夥伴組織」（the Langham Partnership International）的國際事工主管。曾擔任萬國宣教學院（All Nations Christian College）院長，也在印度普納（Pune）的聯合聖經神學院（Union Biblical Seminary）任教。著有The Uniqueness of Jesus、Deuteronomy （New International Biblical Commentary）、《聖經信息系列：以西結書》（The Message of Ezekiel）等書。
